Where are Rover capsule homes made?
Every unit is manufactured in Rover’s own facility in Wuhan, China. More than 70,000 square metres, producing the complete building rather than assembling parts from elsewhere. Rover Construction Pty Ltd (ABN 34 654 850 558) is the Australian supplier and your point of contact for sales, delivery and warranty.
What is included in the price?
The price shown against each unit is in Australian dollars, includes GST, and includes delivery anywhere in Australia. It covers the finished building: structure, external shell, glazing, internal fit-out, joinery, bathroom fittings, electrical and plumbing rough-in, and the smart control system. It does not cover site preparation, footings, or connection to power, water and waste at your end.
Do you really deliver anywhere in Australia at no extra cost?
Yes. Delivery within Australia is free at no extra charge. What we need from you before delivery is honest information about site access, road width, overhead lines, gradient, and whether a crane can be positioned. If a site cannot be reached by standard transport we will tell you before you order, not after.
What do I need to have ready before the unit arrives?
A prepared, level site with the footings or piers in place, and your power, water and waste services brought to the unit’s connection points. The capsule does not need a conventional foundation.It sits on footings or piers rather than a full slab. But those footings do need to be in and cured. We deliver the unit and set it down in position. Final connection to your services is arranged by you, usually a half-day for a licensed electrician and plumber.
How long does it take?
Around 20 – 40 days from confirmed order to the unit leaving the factory, plus transit. We give you a delivery window once the order is placed and keep you updated as the build progresses.
Do I need council approval?
Usually yes, and the requirements vary between states and between councils. A capsule used as a habitable dwelling is generally treated differently from one used as a studio or an ancillary structure. Check with your local council.
What warranty do I get?
Ten years on the structure, the steel frame and the external shell. Twelve months on fittings, fixtures, appliances and the control system. This is in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law, which we do not seek to limit.
Are the prices GST inclusive?
Yes. Every price on this site includes GST and is shown in Australian dollars. A tax invoice is issued with each order.
What is the difference between the capsule range and the homes and granny flats range?
The capsule range is the space-capsule form, a steel and aluminium shell, heavily glazed, nine models from six to twelve metres. The homes and granny flats range is conventional modular construction: cabins, granny flats, container home kits and garden studios, in more familiar shapes and finishes.

Yes. The two price guides on the Catalogues page carry the floor plan, photography and a full description of every model, including what is and is not included. They are free to download and do not require an enquiry.
